Traditional Dresses of Kashmir

The culture of Kashmir refers to the culture and traditions of Kashmir, a region in northern India (consisting of Jammu and Kashmir), northeast Pakistan (consisting of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit–Baltistan) and the Chinese territory of Aksai Chin.
The culture of Kashmiri is a diverse blend and highly influenced by northern South Asian as well as Central Asian culture. Along with its scenic beauty, Kashmir is famous for its cultural heritage; it amalgamates Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist philosophies and has involved composite culture based on the values of humanism and tolerance.

Koshur people are mainly found in Kashmir Valley, they also found in Azad Kashmir "Neelum Distict". They speak proper Kashmiri Language called "Koshur", some called it "Kasheer". Most of them are muslims, rest are hindu, very few Koshur are sikhs.

Pahari people are mostly live in Azad Kashmir, also in east Jammu (Poonch and Rajouri) and north-east Kashmir Valley (Kupwara). They speak Pahari Language, some call it Mirpuri, Pothohari, Hindko and Punchi. Majority are muslims, then hindu and sikh.

Gujri people are nomad that usually travelling any places in Azad Kashmir, Kashmir Valley and Jammu, however they are very close to Pahari people due similar culture and tradition though the language they speak are Gujor. Majority are again muslim, then hindu, very few are sikhs.

Dogra people live in Jammu as we know, they speak dogra and mostly are hindu then muslim and sikh, they are not close to Pahari and Gujri, they rather similar to Himachali People which possible live in Jammu but they mostly live in Himachal Pradesh which is not in Jammu Kashmir.

Ladakhi, Kargili and Baltis people are Tibetans of Kashmir, live in northern area. Baltis people are mostly muslims, live in Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan while Ladakhi and Kargili are some buddhist and muslim in Ladakh. They speak it own languages.

Gilgiti people are found in Gilgit area, Gilgit-Baltistan, they are muslim and speak Shina Language. Hunzai people are other hand live in northern-east Gilgit-Baltistan called Burusho, all are muslim and speak Burushaski Language.

Last, there are still more people with different background in Jammu Kashmir but it is not easy to track them, though we would consider them as Kashmiri end of the day.
